If so, this may be your next job opportunity: The Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) is seeking a HR Business Partner to provide comprehensive HR support to assigned departments and divisions. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources professional with HR operations experience. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of HR best practices with a focus on organizational development, compensation, policy development/review and HRIS transactions.
Who are we? The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community is a sovereign tribe located in the metropolitan Phoenix area. The Community serves over 9,000 tribal members as a full-service government entity. The Tribal Government oversees the departments, programs, projects and facilities on the reservation, including a healthcare facility.
What the job looks like: Use your professional experience to provide day-to-day HR support for assigned department(s) or divisions. You'll manage a variety of employee lifecycle processes, HR transactions and HRIS activities; support recruitment and onboarding; interpret HR polices and procedures; and work directly with managers and employees to help resolve routine HR questions and needs and ensure timely, accurate service.
As an HR Professional, you will have the opportunity to make a positive, direct impact on a community by providing response HR support and building meaningful relationships with directors, administrators, managers, supervisors, employees and candidates.
What you have:
What you need: Bachelors' degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources or related area, Masters' degree in Business Administration preferred. Seven (7) years of experience in Human Resources professional work. Prior professional level public sector personnel experience working in a multi-cultural environment is a plus. Professional Human Resource certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR) is preferred.

Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA): A retiree HRA with Health Equity, which is a tax-advantaged employer-funded account that retired employees (Age 55+) can use for qualified medical expenses, including some premiums, and out-of-pocket expenses such as copays and deductibles.
Paid Leave & Holidays Annual & Sick Leave: Employees accrue separate balances for sick and annual leave each pay period. - Working knowledge of daily HR operations in a government setting
- Skilled in recruiting, onboarding and marketing SRPMIC.
- Excellent time management, organization, goal-oriented and adaptability to effectively implement multiple priorities and HR transactions within Native American Tribal government practices.
What you need: Bachelors' degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources or related area, Masters' degree in Business Administration preferred. Seven (7) years of experience in Human Resources professional work. Prior professional level public sector personnel experience working in a multi-cultural environment is a plus.
