Yoga and other classes available for a nominal fee. Responsibilities Nautilus Insurance is seeking a Senior Manager, HR Business Partner to join their team. This role is located in our Scottsdale, AZ office on a hybrid schedule.As a strategic partner, the Sr. Manager, HR Business Partner works with the Vice President of Human Resources (VP HR) and Operating Unit Leadership to align and support the VP HR with the talent strategy and operating unit strategic initiatives. This role supports the operating units with HR administration, as well as ensuring consistency with programs and communication. This role also works closely with Leadership and Berkley HR to consult, provide advice and guidance as it relates to talent-related activities including but not limited to: staff retention and engagement, performance management, talent development, compensation planning and employee relations.Consults and counsels with leaders on performance management, talent development, salary administration, succession planning, recognition, training gaps, employee relations, employee conduct, etc. Guides and coaches leaders through actions related to formal disciplinary procedures, jointly determines appropriate course of actions; reviews and provides suggestions for performance improvement plans; and ensures legal compliance with aid of VP HR, Berkley HR and/or legal counsel when necessaryProactively identifies areas for process improvement, innovation, and opportunities for efficiency and synergyPartners with management to improve employee engagement and increase productivity and retentionWorks closely with leaders to ensure job descriptions and other aspects of positions, including, but not limited to salary ranges and exempt status are up to dateConfers with leaders to identify staffing needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, skills and competencies and ensures consistency in the processAssists in creating and communicating recognition programsMay lead or participate in special and/or cross-functional project teams related to Berkley or segment strategic initiativesIdentifies, evaluates and resolves employee relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and civil rights complaints and elevates to VP, HR Business Partner as neededCreates and communicates process within onboarding and offboarding of employeesAdministers Workday transactions including job requisitions, pay changes, promotions, and tracking of referral programDevelop HR dashboards, analyze workforce data, and identify trends to provide actionable insights that support strategic business decisions. Assist with developing and coordinating leadership development and manager training initiatives to enhance leadership effectiveness and employee performance Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in HR, Communication, or Business required.Professional certification from HRCI or SHRM strongly preferred.5+ plus years of progressive HR experienceAbility to make decisions incorporating diverse perspectivesExcellent communication and organization skillsStrong customer orientation including strong interpersonal, communication and consultation skillsAbility to manage and influence in a cross-functional matrix environmentStrong discretion in dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information exhibited at all timesAbility to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlinesExtremely strong analytical and quantitative skills coupled with strategic/big picture orientation Excellent organization, prioritization and customer service skills to effectively follow-up on complex and detailed work activitiesProven record of setting delivery commitments and meeting expectations Additional Company Details The Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
