ARN - Operating Room Registered Nurse

Overview: Join a dedicated team providing professional nursing care in a surgical setting within a well-established regional healthcare network in the Southeastern United States. This full-time day shift role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the operating room, ensuring safety and quality throughout the surgical process.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess patients and identify their care needs to organize appropriate nursing interventions.
Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while maintaining a safe environment.
Serve as charge nurse when assigned, overseeing nursing activities and staff coordination.
Maintain accurate and relevant patient care records.
Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
Recognize and respond promptly to life-threatening situations.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Monitor quality of care using outcome-oriented indicators.
Participate actively in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
Adjust care based on age-specific physiological and psychosocial needs.
Support patients' cultural and spiritual beliefs within medical guidelines.

Education:

Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience:

No prior experience required; new graduates encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

Current Registered Nurse licensure in a Compact state or the Southeastern U.S. region.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Effective organizational and leadership abilities.
Knowledge of age-specific physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual patient needs.
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift frequently; ability to communicate effectively.
