The PreK Lead Teacher plays a crucial role in providing exceptional classroom instruction and leadership within a small team of early childhood educators. Reporting to the Director, this role focuses on fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth for preschool students.
Responsibilities
- Lead classroom instruction and manage daily activities focused on student learning and development
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to support their growth
- Manage student behavior to create a positive learning environment
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities
- Supervise students during all classroom and related activities
- Collaborate effectively with a small team (1-3 teachers) to coordinate efforts and share best practices
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
- Support the social and emotional development of students within the classroom setting
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in early childhood education
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
