Temporary Event Technician Pool, University Theatre, Backstage & Front of House This position assists Operations and Event Coordinator, Technical and Assistant Technical Directors in day-to-day operations of University Theatre venues, supporting campus events, rental clients, and University Theatre performances as needed. Responsibilities Backstage duties: lighting operation (lighting consoles, follow spotlights), sound reinforcement (FOH console operation, audio system setup), load‑in and load‑out assistance, and occasional system and facilities maintenance. Front‑of‑House duties: serve as house manager, coordinate all FOH operations, train and supervise ushers, communicate with stage managers and technical supervisors, ensure patron safety, enforce safety regulations, and troubleshoot issues to maintain customer satisfaction. Operate independently with limited direct supervision. Qualifications Experience with ETC lighting control systems (EOS Family) and intelligent lighting. Live audio mixing on analog and digital mixing consoles. Customer service and public relations experience, preferably with diverse audiences. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Work Schedule As needed basis; nights and weekends typical. Compensation $10.00 - $20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
