The Role We're hiring a Business Tax Manager to own a client portfolio, guide a team, and partner closely with leadership to shape how we deliver for clients year-round. You will work closely with the managing partner to successfully transition client relationships with a goal of being the primary point of contact for the majority of clients after 6-9 months. This role is for someone comfortable in a leadership role or someone ready to take the next step into genuine ownership — of client relationships, technical quality, and team development. What You'll Do Own a portfolio of 100+ business clients (S-Corps, C-Corps, partnerships, LLCs) as their primary point of contact Review federal and state business returns and serve as the internal go-to on complex technical issues Lead year-end planning: projections, estimated tax review, and strategic client recommendations Directly supervise, mentor, and develop Business Tax seniors and associates Manage billing, WIP, and realization for your client portfolio What We're Looking For CPA or EA license required 7+ years of public accounting experience with a business tax focus Strong technical knowledge of pass-through entities, C-Corps, and multi-state taxation A track record of managing client relationships — not just preparing returns Prior supervisory or team management experience Who We Are At The Brae, we believe great accounting starts with great relationships.
