Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• 3 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Oklahoma license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 6 months gap required between for Travel at Program: RightSourcing Program - OU Health and no current placement allowed at Program: RightSourcing Program - OU Health.

Additional Details:

If a BSN degree is the highest level of education, verify the graduation date and upload a copy of your diploma to your credentials.

Required Skills/Experience: - Will not accept OR candidates. - Stepdown/PCU experience is required. - Must have surgical floor experience. - Experience caring for patients with new drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies, NGT, or DHT is required. - Clinicians should have strong Trauma Level 1 experience and/or be willing to work with difficult cases.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - ENT and/or transplant experience preferred.

Required Credentials: - Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Preferred Credentials: - Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program.

Unit Details: - Oklahoma’s only Level I Trauma Center. - Cares for inpatients receiving pre- or post-surgical services, including post-operative patients; some patients require stepdown care. - Ratios are 5 or 5:1 for surgical patients and 3:1 for SD area.

Floating Requirements: - Travelers will be first to float.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required
