Locum NP/PA Opportunity at North Memorial Health

North Memorial Health is seeking a locum NP/PA for dates of coverage from May to July. The position involves up to full-time work in a trauma hospitalist role, with potential for intermittent ED consults, trauma activations, and procedures. Candidates with surgical and trauma critical care experience are preferred. The call ratio is no call, with in-house only coverage. The average number of patients per day ranges from 10-14 admitted patients, with 6 in the ICU. The documentation system is EPIC, and the trauma level is designated as a Level I adult, caring for pediatrics as well. The APP will work autonomously, with a trauma surgeon available 24 hours a day for supervision. The patient age demographic spans 0-100+, primarily adults and adolescents. Preferred local providers are available, and mileage is reimbursed.

Required procedures include non-invasive vent management, ventilation management, chest tube insertion, central line, arterial line, and suturing minor lacerations. The APP is required to respond to ED trauma alerts, facilitate discharges, manage ER admissions, and conduct daily rounding and management of all conditions. North Memorial does not reimburse for credentialing costs or application fees.

Submission requirements include board certification (ACNP, AGNP, PA-C), no FNPs, a Minnesota license, ATLS, PALS, ACLS, a NOC shift from 7p-7:30a, DEA verbal confirmation, a self-query NPDB report, and a minimum of 1 year of practice as an APP in the inpatient setting, preferably with trauma, ICU, and/or orthopedics experience.
