• Shift: Nights – 36 or 48 hours/week
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
• On-Call Requirement: 4 call shifts per 6-week schedule
• Floating: Required within units of equal or lower acuity
• Daily Census: 1-8 patients
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Requirements

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Post-cardiac surgery care (not directly from OR)
• POD1 heart patient management
• Admitting fresh heart patients
• Ventilator management
• Pacer management: temporary/transvenous pacers
• Chest tube assistance (insertion/removal)
• Experience with lumbar drains
