New Equipment Project ManagerOtis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated New Equipment Project Manager to oversee coordination of activities on a new equipment installation project. The New Equipment Project Manager will ensure efficiency, cost containment, and customer satisfaction.On a typical day you will:Ensure flawless execution of each project by completing on schedule, within budget, and meets all technical & safety standards, regulatory compliance requirements, and customer expectationsCoordinate all contract activities from the project award stage to completion of the elevator and escalator installation and provide a progress review of projects to ensure that contract documents are consistent with the required scope of the projectProactively communicate with multiple representatives including general contractors, owners, building managers, architects and designers, State and Local authorities and regulatory agencies concerning project design, preparations, and scheduling of installation for the equipmentAbility to work closely with the internal sales staff, construction superintendents, and senior leadership to ensure a successful project from both the financial and customer perspectivesPerform construction process duties including managing billing, consultant and contractors' payments, processing RFIs and optimizing change order opportunities, as well as maximizing project cash coverageAccurately interpret construction contractual documents and contract modifications to determine cost of such change •Read and review architectural and structural drawingsAccurately analyze situations and assist in developing contingencies for estimatesWhat you will need to be successful:High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferredAbility to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environmentCandidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customersNeeds to be self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilitiesSuccessful candidate should be very comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft based computer softwareStrong leadership skills and goal-orientated with strong time management and organizational skillsMinimum of 5 years related project management and/or construction experience preferredKnowledge of the principals of cost estimating, scheduling, and contract administration desiredOtis Elevator does not support sponsorship, e.g. H-1B or TN petitions/applications, for this position.What we offer:401(k) plan with a generous company match and an automatic retirement contributionComprehensive medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage for you and your eligible dependentsThree weeks of paid vacation, along with paid company holidaysPaid sick leave, employee assistance, and wellness incentive programsLife insurance and disability coverageVoluntary benefits including legal, pet, home, and auto insuranceGenerous birth/adoption and parental leave benefits, as well as adoption assistanceTuition reimbursement programService anniversaries and spot performance bonus opportunitiesOtis is the world's leading elevator and escalator manufacturing, installation, and service company.
