Junior System Administrator - Active Directory

Active Directory System Administrator

Active Directory System Administrator facilitating the review and securing of Accounts and Security Groups within our Enterprise directory. This will include assigning owners, configuring Group Managed Service Accounts (GMSA), onboarding to BeyondTrust, configuring interactive logon settings, and resetting Passwords.

We will also be implementing a process to alert owners of password expiry.

Account Administration – Must be familiar with Active Directory Users, Mailboxes, Conference Room, Service accounts, and Group membership. Must understand the different ways they can be implemented and managed.

BeyondTrust Password Safe – Familiarity with Beyond Trust password safe would be beneficial as we leverage BT for some of our Service Account offerings.

Active Directory and Azure Administration – Amtrak has a hybrid infrastructure which includes both an on-premises AD infrastructure as well as a robust Azure environment. The resource should understand how to administer both environments.

Windows Server Experience – Understanding of basic Server Administration and how Service Accounts are utilized.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• AD Account management Experience
• Experience with Microsoft Group Managed Service Accounts (GMSA) & Managed Service Accounts (MSA)
• Familiarity with Office 365 shared mailboxes and Conference room accounts
• Strong Collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of BeyondTrust Password Safe and how it can be used for Service Accounts.
