As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Night Patrol in Brooklyn NY this role is designed to provide reliable consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

12:00 AM - 04:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (Anchor Shifts): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. Its all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility income stability and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents visitors and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures access-related practices and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and urgent situations in a calm professional and problem-solving manner escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location including common areas entry points exterior grounds and perimeter areas helping to identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor entrances exits and visitor activity while maintaining accurate logs writing detailed incident reports and communicating relevant updates to management and/or authorized personnel.
• Support a respectful shelter environment by assisting with de-escalation observing resident and guest interactions and reporting maintenance behavioral and other security-related issues in accordance with post procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
