What You Will Be Doing

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing customized care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing a wide range of acute and chronic health issues, whether independently or in collaboration with physicians
• Instructing patients and their families about prevention, wellness, and effective disease management
• Prescribing necessary medications and therapies in accordance with your professional scope

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Successful graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Needed

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Michigan
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a recognized equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
