Medical Office Assistant (Per Diem)

Tandym Group

A healthcare facility is seeking a Medical Office Assistant for its outpatient clinics in Munnsville and Hamilton, NY. This project-based position focuses on per diem coverage for specific periods.

About the Opportunity:

Schedule: Specific dates, primarily October and November
Hours: 7am to 5:30pm
Setting: Outpatient clinic-based roles

Responsibilities:

Room patients and assist with patient flow
Take vitals and collect patient history
Assist providers during exams and procedures
Perform clinical tasks including venipuncture, specimen collection, EKGs, and CLIA-waived testing
Prepare patients for exams and procedures
Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

1+ year of related work experience
High School Diploma / GED
Ability to perform clinical and administrative duties
Excellent multitasking skills
Strong patient communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized

Desired Qualifications:

Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
Medical Assistant (MA) certification
Experience with MEDENT or other EMR systems
Familiarity with multitasking in a Clinical setting
