Sr. Info Security Systems Engineer

Salary: $92,500 - 171,500 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with at least 4 years of related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, we will consider candidates with a minimum of 10 years of directly related experience.
• You must hold an active TS/SCI security clearance and be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearance after hire.
• We require DoD 8140.03 Level 3 or Level 4 certification.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with model-based systems engineering tools such as UML, SysML, and UAF.
• Preferred qualifications include hands-on use of vulnerability analysis tools such as Tenable Nessus.
• Preferred qualifications include developing dashboards and administering SIEM or audit-reduction tools such as Splunk.

• We support a highly motivated engineering team by defining, designing, implementing, documenting, testing, and sustaining security solutions for National Security Systems and other government systems.
• We apply current standards and frameworks including NIST RMF, CNNSI 1253, JSIG, and FIPS to certify systems and achieve accreditation.
• We collaborate with system developers and commercial vendors to evaluate secure systems, networks, and database products using encryption, vulnerability analysis, and security management methods.
• We carry out incident response, cyber threat identification, defensive cyber operations coordination, malware analysis, and supply chain risk management assessments.
• We prepare RMF documentation such as System Security Plans, Security Control Traceability Matrices, Continuous Monitoring Plans, Security Assessment Plans and Procedures, Security Concept of Operations, and Plans of Action and Milestones.
• We implement and assess security controls, including categorization memorandums, control overlays, baseline definition, and verification of control deployment across computing and network nodes.
• We assist with systems and software engineering tasks including data flow diagrams, interface control documents, trade studies, and SAST activities for DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines.
• We support STIG compliance using tools such as Fortify, Coverity, and GitLab, and produce summary reporting.
• We define and manage systems and security architectures, including boundaries, vulnerability management, and risk mitigation across networks, applications, new technology initiatives, and cloud environments.
• We design and manage secure architectures in on-premises data centers and help transition them to secure cloud-based systems.
• This role is performed 100% onsite and cannot be done remotely.
