Full-Time Center Associate

The Center Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry. The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time. Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service. Process UPS, USPS, Amazon, and other shipping transactions. Assist customers with printing, copying, faxing, scanning, and mailbox services. Package items safely and securely for shipment. Answer phones and assist customers with questions. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store environment. Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions. Work as part of a team while completing daily operational tasks. Qualifications Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Reliable transportation and punctual attendance. Retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Appearance & Professionalism A clean, neat, and professional appearance is mandatory . Team members are expected to maintain good personal hygiene, wear the required uniform, and present themselves in a manner that reflects the professional standards of The UPS Store.
