Job Description

Occupational Therapist - Home Health Care 

Location: Wayne County
Schedule: 20 hours per week, day shift
On-Call Requirements: Minimum of one weekend per month, plus one summer holiday and one winter holiday
Compensation & Benefits: $5,000 sign-on bonus; eligible for part-time benefits

The position will be in the Territory of Wayne County The cities will include but are not limited to: 

Primary Coverage Areas: Dearborn, Dearborn Hiegts, Garden City. Inkster, Westland, Canton

Secondary Coverage Areas: Southgate, Taylor, Romulus, Belleville

**General Summary**

Under the supervision of the site Team Leader or Supervisor, the Occupational Therapist will:

• **Deliver impactful OT evaluations and treatment** – Put your clinical expertise to work! You'll perform comprehensive patient care duties that make a real difference in people's lives and help them reclaim their independence.
• **Be the communication champion** – You'll be the bridge between patients, coworkers, physicians, and other team members, keeping everyone in the loop about patient care needs while maintaining thorough and accurate documentation. Great communication = great outcomes!
• **Lead and empower your team** – Supervise and delegate to your Assistant and tech team members, bringing out the best in your colleagues and fostering a collaborative care environment.
• **Keep the wheels turning** – Handle patient billing information with precision and accuracy, ensuring everything is documented and processed smoothly so the team can focus on what matters most: patient care.

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Master's Degree, preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

• Current State of Michigan Registration and National board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Patient care setting with potential exposure to communicable disease.
• Limited noise, temperature fluctuation and dust are possible.
