Bilingual Customer Service Representative
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in applying for Medical Assistance (Medicaid) and other eligible hospital, state, and federal assistance programs.
• Conduct interviews with patients in hospital and office settings to gather information and complete applications accurately.
• Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility to ensure patients are enrolled in appropriate programs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, application status, and follow-up activities.
• Collaborate with patients, family members, employers, financial institutions, and state/federal agencies to obtain required documentation.
• Educate patients on available financial assistance options and guide them through the application process.
• Ensure compliance with all HIPAA, confidentiality, and healthcare regulations.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable with strong time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to learn and navigate multi-state Medicaid eligibility guidelines and regulations.
• Previous experience with Medicaid eligibility or public assistance programs is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a healthcare facility, hospital, or clinic setting.
• Knowledge of insurance billing, healthcare reimbursement, or revenue cycle management.
• Experience with Medicaid eligibility, public assistance, or government-sponsored healthcare programs.
• Background in patient advocacy, social work, case management, or a related field.
