Boone Memorial Health is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our growing laboratory team. If you are passionate about patient care, thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and enjoy working with people of all ages, we would love to hear from you!This position plays an essential role in providing quality patient care by performing venipuncture procedures, collecting laboratory specimens, and supporting the daily operations of the outpatient laboratory.Essential FunctionsPerform venipuncture and specimen collection for patients of all age groupsVerify patient identity and ensure accurate specimen labelingCollect blood and urine specimens according to laboratory policies and proceduresMaintain aseptic technique and infection control standardsAssist with chain-of-custody drug testing collectionsTransport specimens safely to the laboratoryAnswer phones and assist patients and staff professionallyPerform clerical duties and maintain organized recordsKeep work areas clean, stocked, and orderlyWork collaboratively with providers, nurses, laboratory staff, and supervisorsParticipate in continuing education and performance improvement initiativesSkills, Qualifications, and CompetenciesRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentFormal phlebotomy trainingValid Phlebotomy CertificationCPR CertificationValid driver’s licensePoint of Care Technician License (or ability to obtain upon hire)Preferred QualificationsPrevious phlebotomy experience preferredExperience with CLIA Waived Testing preferredKnowledge of laboratory equipment and proceduresPhysical RequirementsThis position requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, lifting, bending, reaching, and coordination of multiple tasks throughout the workday.Equal Opportunity EmployerBoone Memorial Hospital, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws. #J-18808-Ljbffr
