Support participants in developing person‑centered Recovery and Wellness Plans. Assist peers in identifying and navigating barriers related to housing, employment, and healthcare access. Offer on‑demand connections to recovery services, harm reduction resources, and crisis support lines. Conduct follow‑up engagements and ongoing support to promote sustained recovery. Conduct mobile and street outreach on foot and as part of the NOW mobile unit. Engage individuals experiencing homelessness, public substance use, or overdose risk; offer education, harm reduction tools, and linkage to care. Participate in Quick Response Team deployments with community partners following overdose incidents. Job Details Location: Brooklyn Recovery Community Center – Brooklyn, NY Employment type: Full Time – non‑exempt Salary: $25.00 – $27.00 per hour Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Active Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA or CRPA‑P) credential in good standing with NYCB or ASAP‑NYCB. Minimum 1 year of experience providing peer support or recovery coaching. Valid NYS driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Brooklyn. Familiarity with harm reduction, trauma‑informed care, and multiple pathways to recovery. Preferred Experience Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole). Experience conducting mobile or street‑based outreach. Familiarity with OASAS/DOHMH documentation and reporting systems. Knowledge of LGBTQ+, veteran, and justice‑involved populations. Work may involve evening or weekend shifts to meet outreach and event needs. Physical Demands Regularly required to sit, use hands to type, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch and lift and/or move up to 20 pounds; setting up outreach locations and event sites.
