If you like to make things happen and are passionate about what you do, you're going to want to be here.Join us and become part of the power behind possible.About The OpportunityPosition SummaryPerforms routine accounting activities such as maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports and fixed asset functions.Key Duties And ResponsibilitiesPrepares, processes, and codes invoices, ensuring payment within termsCompiles and maintains accurate financial information to prepare entries to accountsPrepares and reviews reports and data, monitoring for accuracy and completenessAssists with month-end closing transactions including preparation of key reportsProvides requested financial information to key stakeholdersReconciles accounts, ledgers, and reportsSupports continuous improvement initiatives for accounting process and information flowMaintains and reviews records and data to ensure compliance with all corporate policies and all GAAP, local, state, and Federal lawEssential To This PositionFixed asset additions, disposals, and transfersMonth end fixed asset reconciliation by plantManage and reconcile Capital projects working directly with plant project managers to create internal orders for capital projects and expenses related to projectsReview of the Asset P.O. Switchboard to ensure all purchase orders are completeResponsible for the month end close processes for Menasha Corporation including performing journal entries, recurring entries, reconciliation of accounts and balance sheet review books as it relates to fixed assetsUnderstand fixed assets book and tax requirements for Menasha's US and foreign locations.Perform review of fixed asset transactions across the company for adherence to Menasha Corporation fixed asset policies.Aid with testing relating to system issues, upgrades, loading or conversionsReview of fixed assets to ensure correct Governmental tax depreciation keys and lives are assignedAssist with required changes to assets directed by the tax department to take advantage of various governmental initiativesProvide requested fixed asset reports and information to the tax department for income tax purposesPrepares and reviews reports and data, monitoring for accuracy and completeness.Assist with fixed asset divestiture and acquisition activities to create a smooth transition to/from Menasha CorporationEducation RequiredBachelor's Degree in Accounting or relatedKnowledge, Skills, Or Abilities DesiredKnowledge of accounting principalsApplicable work experience is preferredAbility to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from numerical materialKnowledge of methods, processes, and tools for preparation of financial statements and reportsKnowledge of financial and accounting applications specific to the organizationAbility to identify, evaluate, and research problems related to the accounting functionAdditional Job RequirementsProficiency in Microsoft ExcelSAP knowledge preferredTwo companies, one vision.Menasha Corporation consists of two companies that are leading the way to a sustainable future with packaging and supply chain solutions.
