Loan Closer

Overview REV Mortgage is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Residential Mortgage Loan Closer to join our Operations team. The Loan Closer is responsible for coordinating and preparing residential mortgage loans for closing, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with investor, agency, state, and federal guidelines. This individual works closely with Loan Officers, Processors, Underwriters, Title Companies, Attorneys, and Settlement Agents to deliver a seamless closing experience for our borrowers. Responsibilities Review approved loan files to ensure all underwriting conditions have been satisfied prior to closing. Prepare and issue Closing Disclosures (CDs) in accordance with TRID requirements. Coordinate closing dates and times with borrowers, title companies, attorneys, and loan officers. Work closely with title companies and settlement agents to ensure accurate closing figures and documentation. Review title commitments, homeowner\'s insurance, and other required documentation prior to closing. Balance lender fees, escrow accounts, and closing costs for accuracy. Ensure all closing documents comply with investor, agency, regulatory, and company guidelines. Prepare loan packages for closing and funding. Resolve closing issues quickly and efficiently to avoid delays. Communicate proactively with internal and external partners regarding loan status and closing timelines. Review executed closing documents for completeness and accuracy. Deliver completed loan files to the Funding Department for funding and shipment. Maintain complete and accurate electronic loan files. Meet established productivity, quality, and turn-time expectations. Stay current on mortgage regulations, investor guidelines, and industry best practices. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Associate\'s or Bachelor\'s degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of residential mortgage closing experience preferred. Strong understanding of: TRID regulations Closing Disclosure preparation FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines Mortgage documentation and closing procedures Experience with Encompass LOS preferred. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Skills Ability to troubleshoot and resolve closing issues independently.
