Senior Business Analyst *This is a hybrid role, requiring three (3) days/week onsite, candidates local to Rocky Mount, NC only, please Description Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to operate within a product-driven delivery model and contribute directly to defining refining and supporting product value delivery. The client’s Modernization Program is moving toward a product-driven delivery environment, and this position plays a critical role in making that transition successful. The Business Analyst is not a traditional requirements gatherer but a clarity creator and alignment driver who ensures the teams are working on the right things at the right time in the right way. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, creates order from complexity, and moves work forward by uncovering missing information solving problems end to end and translating business needs into well-structured testable features and requirements. This role partners closely with Product Owners Workstream Leads vendors and IT teams to shape the product vision into actionable delivery. As the client transitions toward a product-oriented operating model over the next 18 months this role will help build the foundation of effective delivery routines, cross-team integration and vendor accountability that will enable long-term success. This role works closely with Product Owners Program Leadership SMEs IT teams and vendor partners to support effective product delivery and modernization outcomes. Responsibilities Leads discovery with business units and SMEs to understand goals user needs and operational challenges Translates business concepts into clear user stories features workflows acceptance criteria and business rules Ensures requirements are testable unambiguous and aligned with product outcomes and value Identifies and resolves requirement gaps early long before development or testing begins Maintains clear evolving documentation that supports iterative delivery including requirements process flows acceptance criteria and userfacing artifacts. Partners with Development Testing Data OCM/Training and Implementation teams to ensure shared understanding Identifies cross impacts and dependencies across workstreams and collaborates with delivery leadership to ensure coordinated action. Breaks down complex or ambiguous problems into structured actionable insights Performs end-to-end analysis across workflows systems and data to uncover root causes Supports testing by ensuring coverage aligns with requirements and validating delivered functionality Supports UAT planning and readiness by validating test coverage against requirements, coordinating business tester engagement and ensuring clear acceptance criteria. Ensures full traceability of requirements from business needs to delivered functionality Collaborates with vendor business analysts, delivery teams, and product specialists to ensure alignment of requirements and solution intent Works closely with Product Owners to refine features define value and support backlog prioritization Focuses on user value outcomes and measurable business impact Supports iterative delivery and continuous learning cycles Education Bachelor’s degree in business public administration information systems computer science or a related field Equivalent professional experience may substitute for a degree Certifications in Business Analysis Agile Scrum Product Ownership or related areas are beneficial but not required Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience Business Analysis, Product Analysis, or similar role, Required 5 Years Requirements definition, user story creation, workflows, and acceptance criteria, Required 5 Years End to end analysis across workflows, data, systems, and business rules, Required 5 Years Problem solving, root cause analysis, and structuring ambiguous information, Required 5 Years Partnership with product owners for features refinement and outcome definition., Required 3 Years Cross workstream collaboration (Dev, Data, Testing, OCM, Implementation), Required 3 Years Supporting testing, UAT, training readiness, and traceability, Required 3 Years Process mapping and workflow design, Required 3 Years Agile, iterative, or fast paced delivery environments, Highly desired 2 Years Product driven delivery, feature refinement, backlog readiness, and outcome alignment, Desired 2 Years Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) and/or MS Project, Nice to have 1 Years #J-18808-Ljbffr
