Information Technology (IT) Manager

Job Overview Information Technology Manager at Upper Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation in Carthage, TN. Full‑time leadership role responsible for the direction, coordination, and continuous improvement of the cooperative’s technology environment. Responsibilities Lead annual technology goal setting, capital planning, disaster recovery planning, and IT standards enforcement. Oversee network, hardware, software, database, cybersecurity, and communications systems. Guide technology decisions that support service, security, efficiency, and reliability. Manage acquisition, installation, and maintenance of LAN/WAN infrastructure and wide‑area network hardware. Supervise IT staff, scheduling, training, and performance reviews. Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and security guidelines. Coordinate IT budget preparation and financial projections. Provide technical support and maintain an effective help‑desk to resolve employee issues. Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, software licensing, and change management processes. Coordinate website and intranet development, including SharePoint sites and user training. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and monitor systems for security threats. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field. Minimum five years of IT management experience. Microsoft and/or Cisco certifications strongly preferred. Experience developing technology and cybersecurity goals, implementation plans, and financial projections. Working knowledge of WAN, WLAN, and LAN environments and remote connectivity troubleshooting. Experience with phone systems, website design, and inventory management of mobile devices. Strong understanding of IT standards, security practices, internet access, and change management. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. Valid Tennessee Class D driver’s license or ability to obtain. Benefits Competitive salary.
