Quality Engineering ManagerJob#: 3054420Job Description:Quality Engineering ManagerLocation: Manassas, Virginia (Onsite)Role OverviewWe are seeking a Quality Engineering Manager to lead the implementation and execution of the Quality Management System for construction and engineering projects. This role involves developing project-specific Quality Control Plans, managing quality documentation, and leading inspection processes to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) on assigned projects.Develop and manage project-specific Quality Control Plans aligned with contract specifications and customer requirements.Manage document controls, nonconforming work, corrective actions, and preventive actions.Establish and lead the Three-Phase Quality Control Process, including preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections.Perform and oversee field inspections to verify workmanship, installations, and materials comply with project requirements.Collect and analyze inspection data, preparing daily and weekly quality reports.Initiate, track, and close Discrepancy Notices and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).Manage the punch list identification and closeout process.Review engineering deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and submittals, for constructability and compliance.Serve as a direct quality interface with owners, project teams, and other stakeholders.Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Controls Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.Experience: 4+ years of relevant construction experience as a Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager. A minimum of 2 years of direct experience as a Quality Control Manager is required. Experience applying the USACE/NAVFAC Three-Phase Quality Control System is necessary.Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of project Quality Management Systems and experience reviewing RFPs, specifications, construction drawings, and submittals. Ability to read and interpret complex construction documents. Ability to pass a background check.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting complex, mission-critical, data center, or large-scale construction projects.Experience coordinating third-party testing and inspection agencies.Experience with quality audits and operational risk management.Background working across multidisciplinary construction environments.Quality-related certifications or formal training in construction quality management.Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
