Nurse Practitioner Palliative Care

Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center is seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join a well-established, mission-driven palliative care team. This role supports adult patients through an inpatient consult model and requires strong clinical skills in acute care. Palliative care specialty-specific experience is not required, as the group provides a comprehensive training, certification, and mentorship program to new hire nurse practitioners. Our robust multidisciplinary team includes hospice and palliative medicine board-certified physicians, advanced registered nurse practitioners, a palliative care chaplain, and experienced registered nurses and social workers. Full-time position (0.8 to 1.0 FTE) Minimum 2 years prior RN and/or ARNP work experience in an inpatient acute care setting is required Advanced practitioner experience in an inpatient acute care setting is preferred; new ARNP graduates with inpatient acute care experience as an RN are encouraged to apply. Board-certified/board-eligible as an ARNP is required; BC/BE in acute care is preferred Palliative care specialty-specific experience not required; training and mentorship provided upon hire Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (ACHPN) certification required to obtain within one year upon hire, with study support and exam fee reimbursement As a non-profit organization, Providence qualifies for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program No state income tax in Washington state (federal income tax still applies) Signing bonus, value-based incentive, and relocation assistance available Comprehensive benefits including health, vision, dental and retirement Compensation is between $136,856 and $169,403 per year The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position.
