Clinical Pharmacist | Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

A specialty compounding pharmacy is seeking a Sterile Compounding Pharmacist for a 13-week contract to hire assignment in Kennett Square, PA. This role focuses on preparing personalized pharmaceutical compounds tailored specifically to patient needs, maintaining the highest standards in sterile and non-sterile compounding practices.


Working under the direction of the Pharmacy Supervisor, you will collaborate closely with both Sterile and Non-Sterile Production departments to ensure strict compliance with State and Federal regulations. Your expertise will support prescription dispensing personnel as needed while providing patient care and counseling on compounded, prescription, and over-the-counter medications.


Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded medications in line with master formula worksheets.
• Implement and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain compliance with USP , , and guidelines for sterile and non-sterile compounding.
• Perform calculations, documentation, and operate production equipment following company policies.
• Utilize proper aseptic techniques and ensure work areas are thoroughly prepared before production.
• Conduct quality control tests and inspections to guarantee the quality, purity, and potency of compounded medications.
• Stay current with emerging compounding technologies, techniques, and formulations.
• Participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid pharmacist licensure as per state requirements.
• Demonstrated knowledge of USP compounding guidelines and aseptic techniques.
• Experience in sterile and non-sterile compounding within a specialty pharmacy setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient counseling and teamwork.
• Reliable attendance is crucial due to critical need status.

Schedule Options:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM OR 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Possible assignment of 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM shift after training completion
