The Project Engineer (PE) is responsible for managing project documentation and supporting the Project Manager in all aspects of cost control, quality assurance, scheduling, and safety. This role plays a key part in helping project teams obtain, evaluate, coordinate, and distribute the information and approvals necessary to deliver projects on time, within budget, safely, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Engineer builds and maintains strong working relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors. All daily activities are performed in alignment with the company's mission, vision, and core values.

Minimum requirements include being authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship, having a valid driver's license, a bachelor's degree preferred or experience in a related field, computer literacy with excellent Microsoft Office skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, understanding of plans and schematics, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, advanced critical thinking and judgment skills, and the ability to work flexible hours.

Job responsibilities include managing, maintaining, tracking, coordinating, organizing, and expediting the flow of all project information to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and timeliness; creating and managing filing systems, logs, and documentation for submittals, RFIs, ASIs, CCDs, field orders, and record drawings; leading the submittal process; managing the RFI process; assisting the Project Manager with budgeting, forecasting, cost control, change management, and monthly invoicing; coordinating and supporting project closeout requirements; transmitting all official contract documents promptly to appropriate parties; attending project meetings; fully understanding subcontractor scopes of work; supporting field supervision and management staff; upholding CPPI's mission, vision, and core values; taking ownership of the project; modeling leadership behaviors; participating in ongoing training, company functions, and meetings; and ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded throughout the project lifecycle.
