Surgical ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a qualified Surgical ICU Registered Nurse to join our team for night shifts in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position requires 36 hours per week and involves working with critically ill patients in various specialties.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Surgical ICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond to changes in status.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment plans.
• Maintain compliance with medical policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Assist with floating to other ICUs as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience.
• Experience in Surgical ICU, Trauma ICU, Burn ICU, or Transplant ICU preferred.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Additional Information

This position involves night shifts (3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 - 07:30). Floating to other units may be required, and participation in an on-call system is necessary. Ensure readiness to adapt to various patient needs and unit functions.
