Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown

$2080.80/week - Job Summary: The Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients recovering from cardiac procedures and surgeries. This role involves monitoring and managing patients in a 15-bed unit that includes step-down ICU, telemetry, and progressive care. Responsibilities: Assess patient conditions regularly and document vital signs and clinical findings. Implement and evaluate individualized nursing care plans. Monitor telemetry data and interpret strips to detect arrhythmias or cardiac events. Administer medications and treatments following hospital protocols. Utilize Meditech charting, Pyxis medication system, and operate cardiac monitoring equipment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure safety. Qualifications: Hold a valid Hawaii Registered Nurse license upon acceptance of the offer. Possess at least 1 year of recent hospital acute care experience, ideally in progressive care or telemetry units. Demonstrate strong skills in primary nursing, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac assessment. Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS, NIHSS. Ability to work flexible hours, including floating to other units such as ICU, ER, or Medical/Surgical/Pediatric departments.
