Territory Sales Manager

Remote: Southwest (based in CA, NV, AZ or NM) $100,000-$125,000 + Commissions (Realistic OTE: $180,000+) Do you like the idea of earning commission on a territory where 50% of sales come through OEMs, with California OEM business bringing in $1.5M this fiscal year? I'm working with an established manufacturer of automatic weighing, check-weighing and packaging equipment used across the food and industrial sectors. They're looking for an experienced Territory Sales Manager to own California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. Around half of the territory's business comes from direct sales to end users, and the other half from managing and supporting OEMs and independent reps. That balance means you'll be developing your own customer relationships while also getting the most out of an established partner network, with real scope to grow both. What You'll Do: Developing sales across California, Nevada, Arizona and NewMexico. Growing direct end‑user business, which makes uparound50%of territory revenue. Managing and supporting OEMs and independent reps, who drivethe other50%. Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through technical discussions, proposalsandclosing. Using a consultative, solution‑ledsales approachto understand customerproblemsandrecommend the correct equipment. Conducting customer visits, presentations, equipmentdemonstrationsand producttesting. Collaboratingwith applicationsengineering, projectmanagement, serviceand marketing teams. Managingyour pipeline, opportunitiesand forecasts accurately through Salesforce. Representingthe businessat tradeshows, customereventsand industryexhibitions. WhatWeLookingFor: 5+yearsofsuccessfulsalesexperiencewithincapitalequipment, packaging machineryora related technicalindustry. Experienceselling packaging equipment, food‑processing machinery, check‑weighers, industrial scalesor similar engineered solutions would be particularly relevant. Aprovenabilitytodevelop a territory, manage complex sales cyclesandclose high‑value equipment orders. ExperiencemanagingOEM relationshipsorindependentrepnetworks alongside your own direct sales. Strong technical aptitudeandthe ability to discuss technologies - not just read a brochure. Confidencemanaging forecasts, sales activityand opportunity data within Salesforceor a similar CRM.
