Large Market Group Sales Manager

The Hyatt Regency Dallas is looking for an experienced Large Market Group Sales Manager to join our highly skilled and recognized Sales team. This position focuses on 251 rooms in Peak for the South and Western Regions of the USA. The role offers opportunities to grow and advance within the company. Responsibilities Target group accounts in the assigned geographic/vertical market with a focus on proactive solicitation and account saturation. Collaborate with off-property sales channels (Regional Sales Offices, Rep. Firms, etc.) to coordinate sales efforts. Identify, qualify, and solicit new business to achieve personal and sales revenue goals. Achieve room night and revenue monthly sales goals and individual business goals. Close the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and hotel needs. Understand the overall market including competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, and supply and demand. Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external customers, ensuring high customer satisfaction. Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers via sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, site inspections, etc. Use sales resources and administrative/staff support effectively. Generate contracts and creative proposals to meet customer needs. Provide accurate, complete and effective turnover to conference services. Develop clear and effective RoadMaps/SMART plans. Present ideas, expectations, and information concisely and well‑organized. Continue communication with group contacts before, during and after meetings to encourage rebooking or solicit other business within the account. Entertain group contacts while on property and in the marketplace; may be required outside normal office hours. Travel to assigned geographic market, territory or event location as per the travel schedule. Represent Hyatt Regency Dallas at trade shows and related functions. Participate in one‑on‑one meetings with the Director of Sales & Marketing. Attend all meetings related to the group sales department. Maintain the highest ethical standards while representing Hyatt Regency Dallas. Qualifications Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Minimum of 3‑5 years of full‑service hotel sales experience. Successful experience with business development in hotels. Experience working with CVB teams and partner hotels. Experience dealing with complex sales agreements. Ability to sell a destination as well as a property. Strong selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills.
