Manufacturing Production SupervisorNVR is looking for intelligent, highly motivated, positive, results-oriented Manufacturing Production Supervisor to join our Kings Mountain, NC Manufacturing Plant. NVR is a growing company with significant opportunities for career growth, advancement, and mobility.Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with hourly production employees. This includes building strong, interactive teams, fostering employee engagement, mentoring through listening, coaching and performance reviews, training and onboarding and reducing employee turnover to achieve plant objectives.Manage daily production and schedule requirements for assigned departments and ensure a consistent flow of work through the department.Ensure safe working conditions and/or habits of area employees, through identification and correction of any safety concerns/issues, safety training, conducting safety audits of the area, and conducting accident investigations for all accidents in area of responsibility.Ensure assigned department achieves quality goals to meet NVR's Brand Promise. Review quality standards and processes regularly and make recommendations on improvements.Support plant leadership with recommendations of improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, quality standards, efficiencies, and safety/working conditions.Partner with plant Maintenance department to ensure production areas are functioning at a high level and minimize downtime.Work with plant support operations, such as Materials, Scheduling and Logistics, to ensure a balanced schedule and consistent flow of material into assigned production area.Determine appropriate staffing needs of the department, manage hourly attendance policy, and ensure accuracy of timekeeping and attendance system.Make recommendations and support plant management in hiring, disciplinary, and termination decisions. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution, and conduct employee investigations, as needed.QualificationsBachelor's degree preferred or considerable manufacturing experience (minimum five years)2+ years of leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of achieving results and developing subordinatesExcellent problem-analysis and critical thinking abilitiesExperience working within teams and a demonstrated commitment to Customer ServiceOutstanding reliability, with strong planning and organizational skillsAbility to drive improvements within the organization and coach/develop others to achieve goalsDemonstrated proficiency in managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, decision-making, adapting, and meeting deadlinesOutstanding communication, collaboration and conflict managementAbility to travel to other NVR plants and locations, as neededNVR, Inc., Parent Company of Ryan, NV, and Heartland Homes has been helping families build their happily ever after since 1948.
