Mechanical Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARYThe Mechanical Project Manager is the primary leader in the field, and is directly accountable for the safety, financial performance, and the Mechanical team development on site. The Mechanical Project Manager will lead the project team in the Mechanical portions of the project. This position is responsible for providing effective leadership to the Mechanical project staff and ensuring quality and timely completion of the project. RESPONSIBILITIESParticipate with Project Director and Estimating in development of a Project Chart of AccountsDevelop detailed Project Contract status reportCoordinate with Project Superintendent in development of a project site logistics planMaintain thorough understanding of the contract and contract documentsOversee the pay request processMonitor project costs and Job Cost ReportAnalyze and forecast quarterly Total Cost Projection reportsImplement and monitor training of all staff personnelMonitor project labor and communicate upcoming scheduling needsReview and approve material, equipment, and rental needsOversee material procurement process to facilitate project schedulesAssist Estimating in bidding projectsImplement applicable safety, EEO and Affirmative Action programsLead the project’s quality processDevelop, schedule and lead project close-out processesDevelop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, subcontractors and owners to represent McCarthy core valuesImplement all applicable Safety Programs and EEO/Affirmative Action ProgramsQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering requiredMinimum of 3 years' experience in highly complex mechanical and plumbing construction projectsAdvanced knowledge of complex mechanical systems and means/methods of installationUnderstands plumbing and mechanical code and installation practicesExperienced dealing with and managing subcontractsExperience leading successful project teams, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external entitiesMcCarthy is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
