• Schedule: 3 shifts/week, 12+ hours shifts, clinics open 7 days/week, 8:00 AM8:00 PM
• End Date/Duration: Until permanent hire or as needed
• Hours/Week: 36 hours/week (3 shifts)

• Licenses/Certifications: Active Virginia Nurse Practitioner license; BLS required
• Experience: Previous urgent care or emergency room experience preferred

What You'll Do:

• Provide urgent care services to a diverse patient population from birth to death, managing episodic events and higher acuity cases
• Perform minor procedures including laceration repairs, I&D, foreign body removal, and burn management
• Conduct orthopedic procedures such as splinting, casting, and joint reductions
• Interpret diagnostic tests including X-rays, EKGs, and point-of-care labs (strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV, urinalysis, blood glucose)
• Stabilize airway and administer nebulizer treatments during emergency situations
• Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR system

What You Need:

• Virginia Nurse Practitioner license (or eligible)
• BLS certification
• 3+ years of urgent care or emergency department experience
• Skilled in suturing, I&D, splinting, and basic emergency procedures
• Ability to handle high patient volumes and varied clinical presentations
