Lab Associate III - Phlebotomist

Five 4‑hour shifts Evenings – 2 pm to 6 pm No weekends; No holidays South County Campus (off Butler Hill and 270) Phlebotomy experience Highly recommended. Role Purpose Performs a variety of pre‑analytic, analytic and post‑analytic laboratory duties as assigned. Responsibilities Performs waived and moderate complex testing with appropriate training and competency, sweat chloride collections, EKGs, etc. Under supervision, reports test results as appropriate. Sorts and processes routine and specific high‑level specimens received by the lab—including multistep technical processing (i.e. histology, microbiology, cytology, etc.). Ensures correct processing and packaging for esoteric send‑out tests. Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuations in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
