As a Lab Associate III at Barnes Jewish Hospital, you play a crucial role in the delivery of high-quality patient care. Schedule Part-Time | 24 hours per week M-F, Rotating Weekends & Holidays Day shift: 7am-330pm Benefits Eligible Role Purpose Performs a variety of pre analytic, analytic and post analytic laboratory duties as assigned. Responsibilities Performs waived and moderate complex testing with appropriate training and competency, sweat chloride collections, EKG's, etc. Under supervision, reports test results as appropriate. Sorts and processes routine and specific high level specimens received by the lab—including multistep technical processing (i.e. Histology, Microbiology, Cytology, etc.). Ensures correct processing and packaging for esoteric send out tests. Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
