About the Role

The Company is in search of a General Counsel to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a strategic partner to the executive team and the Board of Directors, providing legal guidance that is deeply integrated with the company's financial and business objectives. This role is pivotal in building and scaling the legal function, establishing legal systems that support high-growth operations, and managing a high-performing legal team. The General Counsel will also be responsible for commercial and contract management, compliance, risk, and governance, as well as leading legal aspects of corporate transactions and intellectual property. Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school, with at least 15 years of legal experience, including a combination of top-tier law firm training and senior in-house leadership. Deep experience in the healthcare ecosystem, particularly in clinical trials and contracting with pharma and biotech companies, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in M&A processes, exceptional financial literacy, and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly. A pragmatic approach to risk, emotional intelligence, and executive presence are also key attributes. Preferred qualifications include prior experience as General Counsel or Deputy GC in a healthcare technology, clinical research, or life sciences company, and familiarity with clinical research regulations.
