Expedient Medicolegal Services helps eligible California physicians explore a path into Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) work, with physician-led guidance, preparation resources, and practice support. Whether you want to supplement your clinical income or develop a new area of professional practice, we invite you to learn how this opportunity could fit your goals. What would you do as a QME? QMEs evaluate individuals with California workers’ compensation claims, review relevant medical records, and prepare independent medical-legal reports within their area of expertise. The work combines in-person evaluations with records review and report preparation. It draws on the clinical judgment, analytical skills, and specialty knowledge you already use. New to QME work? You can start by exploring the opportunity. Previous QME experience is not required to speak with our team. Eligible physicians can receive guidance through our PreQME program, including exam preparation, report-writing education, and support toward establishing a QME practice.
