CT TechProfession: Radiology Specialty: CT Imaging Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4x9.5 Hours per Shift: 9.5 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: NYSDOH License required Certifications: ARRT required Must-Have: - High school graduate or equivalent - Graduate of a program in Radiologic Technology - Proficiency in the performance of Cat Scan Imaging Exams - Ability to work independently/supervisedDescription: Maintain and exhibit behavior that promotes patient confidence and trust. Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of pediatric immobilization devices adhering to safety precautions. Produce computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered. Prepare or enter written documentation as required. Observe sterile and aseptic techniques when necessary. Check equipment, supplies, and accessories regularly. Assess the physical needs of adult and geriatric patients. Recognize and alleviate patient fears and apprehensions regarding exams. Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Complete requested examinations in a timely manner, observing radiation safety standards. Address the special needs of each age group served. Observe Bio-Safety and radiation safety rules and regulations. Adhere to established hospital and department policies and procedures. Demonstrate computer literacy and operate equipment as directed. Be aware of and able to prevent sentinel events. Responsibilities and duties may change at the discretion of management. Perform related duties as needed.
