Pharmacist in Millsboro, DE

An immediate opening is available for a Pharmacist/Pharmacy Manager at a 36-bed rehabilitation hospital. This contract role requires a licensed Pharmacist to serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) and provide pharmacy staffing and oversight.

Location: Millsboro, DE (with primary responsibilities in Georgetown, DE)

Schedule/Hours:

40 hours per week
Pharmacy hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Weekend, after-hours, and on-call coverage may be required

Responsibilities:

Serve as the PIC, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards
Provide direct pharmacy staffing and supervise pharmacy technicians (1 pharmacist and 2 technicians on staff)
Oversee the preparation and dispensing of medications, including IV compounding (no chemotherapy)
Utilize hospital pharmacy systems such as Wellsky and automation with Pyxis for medication management and dispensing
Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in a rehab hospital setting

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

Licensed Pharmacist with PIC designation
Experience in a hospital or rehab pharmacy environment preferred
Proficiency with Wellsky pharmacy information system and Pyxis automated dispensing system
Skilled in IV compounding procedures
Ability to manage and supervise pharmacy staff
