Pharmacist | Georgetown, Delaware

An immediate opportunity is available for a Pharmacist/Pharmacy Manager in Georgetown, DE, to support a 36-bed rehabilitation hospital focused on delivering specialized patient care. This position requires a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) who will provide pharmacy staffing and oversight while actively working alongside the team.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Provide hands-on pharmacy services and oversee daily operations.
  • Manage and collaborate with pharmacy staff, including one full-time and one PRN technician.
  • Utilize the Wellsky pharmacy information system efficiently.
  • Operate the Pyxis automation system for medication dispensing.
  • Perform IV compounding duties (excluding chemotherapy).
  • Support weekend, after-hours, and on-call coverage as needed.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
  • Valid Pharmacist license with PIC qualification.
  • Experience working in a rehabilitation hospital or similar healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy information systems, specifically Wellsky.
  • Familiarity with Pyxis automation.
  • IV compounding expertise.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and mentor pharmacy technicians.

Schedule/Hours:
  • 40 hours per week
  • Pharmacy operational hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
  • Weekend and after-hours on-call coverage may be required
