Operations Supervisor

Operations Supervisor – Onsite Salary Exempt Job location: Decorah, IA, USA. Percentage of travel expected: 10%. The Job As an Operations Supervisor, you will be part of our manufacturing team working onsite. Key Responsibilities Direct assigned hourly team members in assigned areas of the site necessary to the manufacture, package, and shipment of fasteners. Ensure compliance with safety policies & procedures, quality products, production and housekeeping standards. Focus on lean manufacturing, process improvement, and team building. Ensure safe and healthy working conditions, reduce or eliminate industrial accidents and health hazards, compliance with OSHA regulations. Organize and manage team to meet production and delivery expectations while maximizing labor, skills, knowledge, experience and capabilities. Focus on cross training and skill diversity. Accept, update and follow through on assigned projects in a timely manner. Evaluate manufacturing, sorting, packaging and shipping related problems and take corrective action. Develop and drive cost savings using continuous improvement & lean methodologies. Ensure team member compliance to all operations procedures and documented processes. Address non‑conformities. Administer HR policies, procedures and disciplinary administration in a non‑union environment. Maintain knowledge of equipment and operations under your area of responsibility. Understand IATF16949 and ISO14001 requirements. Assist in writing, reviewing, updating and training of related procedures. Maintain good working relationships with other departments, company employees, customers, suppliers, and the community. Effective people skills, building trust and removing obstacles. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Positive, team‑player attitude. Manufacturing and warehouse knowledge. Decision‑making ability. Personal computer knowledge. Preferred Skills & Experience Prior leadership experience. Knowledge of current software used in manufacturing and warehouse areas.
