Senior AccountantWe are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing organization in Riverside. This position will play a key role in supporting the accounting department through month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger management. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accountant looking to contribute to a collaborative team while positioning themselves for long-term growth.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustmentsManage month-end and year-end close activitiesReconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger accountsAnalyze financial statements and investigate variancesMaintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules and depreciation recordsPrepare supporting schedules and documentation for auditsAssist with financial reporting and management reporting requirementsReview accounting transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policiesSupport accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as neededIdentify process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controlsAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and special projectsCollaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues and provide financial supportQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred5+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practicesExperience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reportingProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulasExperience with ERP or accounting systemsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong verbal and written communication skills
