Senior AccountantThe Finance Team is currently seeking a Senior Accountant for our manufacturing plant in Jurupa Valley, CA. The Finance Team consists of an Accounting Manager, Assistant Accounting Manager, Payroll and Tax Coordinator and an AP Specialist working together and with other departments to collect and remit payments, process vendor invoices, create month-end and year-end financial reporting, and assist the sales team with project-specific financing needs.The Senior Accountant will work under the direction of the Accounting Manager to organize, code and input invoices into the company's accounting system ensuring proper record keeping, developing best practices and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely month-end close accounts payable tasks and reports. The Senior Accountant will also lead project accounting and is responsible for ensuring that project orders are processed and billed accordingly.What You Will DoSupport the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness of assigned areas, including preparing journal entries and performing reconciliationsManage daily operations for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other account reconciliationsPrepare work for sales tax filings, collaborate with external accountants/tax advisors, and ensure compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local tax regulationsParticipate in internal and external audits, providing required documentation and assisting with the implementation of audit recommendationsOversee the accounts payable function by reviewing vendor invoicing and monitoring payment cycles, performing vendor account reconciliation, ensuring accurate expense recognition and strong control practicesManage accounts receivable – perform partial billings, collectionsBack up accounting manager as needed for:Assist CSCs and customers with balances due and sales tax calculationsReview resale/exemption certificatesReview and sign waiversProcess PayApps such as Textura/Procure for progress and final invoicesAssist with fixed assetsAssist with Project Financing – Mechanics LienOther projects as neededWhat You Will NeedProven track record of success as a Senior Accountant or similar roleStrong knowledge of GAAPExceptional organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detailFamiliar with revenue and expense laws in multiple statesAbility to problem-solve and actively address issues in a professional and effective manner.Manufacturing or construction background preferredExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levelsFamiliarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, like NetSuiteExperience processing Mechanics' liens in various states preferredCustomer-centric business philosophy and team-oriented mindsetAbility to adapt to fast-paced and changing environments, and work under pressure to meet tight deadlinesExperience working with international companies a plusWhat We OfferCompetitive salaryPaid time offPaid holidaysMedical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance401k with employer matchProfit sharingOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets.
