Supported by a regional network of care, our 11-acre academic cancer campus in Irvine is home to City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, our outpatient cancer center, and Orange County's only cancer specialty hospital, opening in late 2025. With the opening of the hospital, the full continuum of advanced cancer carefrom prevention through survivorshipwill be available in Orange County for the first time, eliminating the need to travel for lifesaving treatment. Seamlessly connected to our outpatient cancer center, the new clinical research hospital will feature 73 inpatient beds, advanced surgical suites, groundbreaking clinical trials, and holistic services such as rehabilitative therapy and spiritual care. This isn't standard cancer care. This is lifesaving cancer care. This is Hope. As a Special Procedures Technologist, you will assist radiologists and physicians in performing invasive and interventional radiologic procedures. This role involves operating advanced angiographic and interventional imaging equipment and providing sterile procedure support to ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care. Additional Note: This position requires flexibility to accommodate varying patient needs. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. On-call responsibilities and mandatory overtime may also be necessary. Tentative Variable Work Schedule: 12:00pm - 08:30pm (hours may vary slightly) As a successful candidate, you will: Perform radiographic procedures, both general and within designated specialties Prepare room and equipment for patient Assist the radiologist, cardiologist, and/or clinician during radiologic procedures, including invasive and non-invasive studies Prepare reagents following standard formulas and procedures Observe patient for any unusual reactions or events, before, during and after procedure. Take appropriate action following established guidelines Evaluate exam for technical quality and completeness and submits for review via PACS system. Prepare the patient, explains the procedure, and ensures patient's cooperation during the examination.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include: High School or equivalent Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements 2 years in Diagnostic radiology AMA approved school of Diagnostic Radiologic Technology CRT (Radiography and Fluoroscopy) ARRT CPR City of Hope employees pay is based on the following criteria: work experience, qualifications, and work location.
