Job Description
As a Short Order Cook at Hunt's Annex, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen's operations. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare high-quality meals quickly and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining our reputation for excellent food.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately and promptly cook orders, including various types of cuisine, according to specific recipes
- Operate a range of kitchen equipment (grills, fryers, ovens) safely and effectively
- Manage time and multitask effectively during busy periods to meet service standards
- Keep the kitchen environment clean and organized, adhering to health and safety standards
- Regularly check food supplies and coordinate with suppliers for restocking
- Assist in menu planning and suggest new dishes or improvements to existing recipes
- Collaborate with the entire team to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen
- Familiarity with all types of kitchen equipment and food safety procedures
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a focus on efficiency and quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
- Willingness to learn and grow within a family-owned business
- ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
