We are seeking a Sr M&A Compensation Manager in leading the compensation and total rewards strategy throughout the merger and acquisition lifecycle. This role requires collaboration with various teams including legal, tax, finance, and HR to design scalable compensation solutions for newly acquired entities. By employing deep technical knowledge in equity plans, retention strategies, and regulatory considerations, this position ensures the alignment of compensation frameworks with T-Mobile's strategic goals. This position also plays a crucial role in mentoring operational teams and safeguarding the value and retention of critical talent during transitions. Overall, this role is pivotal in enhancing T-Mobile's capability to efficiently integrate and optimize new partnerships and acquisitions.

** This is a hybrid role (3 days/week in the office) and is based in Overland Park, KS; will also consider Bellevue, WA **

Job Responsibilities :

• Develop compensation total rewards strategy for each deal, including harmonization approach, retention/acceleration frameworks, equity treatment, and one-time payouts.
• Lead pre-close diligence on compensation programs (pay philosophy, survey positioning, equity plans, change-in-control clauses, deferred compensation, retention risks).
• Create decision frameworks and playbooks for treatment of base pay, incentive plans, and equity across deal types. Maintain M&A comp standards templates.
• Own executive/leadership comp recommendations for deal approvals and integration committees; present options and tradeoffs to senior HR, Finance and Legal.
• Partner with Integration PMO to set timelines, dependencies, and critical-path items for comp-related deliverables.
• Advise the operational comp team(s) completing conversion, payroll, and systems (Workday) tasks.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, HR Management, Accounting or Finance or a related field or a combination of education and equivalent related experience
• 7-10 years total rewards/compensation experience
• 2-4 years direct M&A integration or transaction experience
• Ability to lead through complex compensation integrations and transitions during mergers and acquisitions.
• Proficiency in collaborating with various departments such as legal, tax, finance, and HR to design and implement compensation solutions.
• Deep understanding of compliance requirements and regulations related to compensation and equity plans in mergers and acquisitions.
• Ability to identify and resolve complex issues related to compensation strategies and employee retention during organizational transitions.
• Strong analytical skills to assess compensation structures and ensure they are competitive and equitable.
• Skilled in negotiating terms and conditions within compensation plans to secure and retain critical talent during mergers and acquisitions. (Required)
• Expertise in managing change effectively, ensuring smooth transitions in compensation practices during mergers and acquisitions.
• Project Management Project/business-case skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's/Advanced Degree Business Administration or Human Resource Management
• 2-4 years technical knowledge of equity plans, change-in-control, retention plans, and regulatory/tax considerations.
• 2-4 years experience advising senior leadership and influencing cross-functional partners

Licenses and Certifications :

• CCP, PHR/SPHR, or Certified Merger Acquisition Advisor

• At least 18 years of age

Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity: $132,480 - $239,040National Base Pay Range: $110,400 - $199,200
