Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU

NICU RN – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Self-schedule with weekend coverage required. Ratios are 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends.

Assignment Details

This is a travel assignment with a typical daily census of 4 patients and 5 beds.

Requirements

• Compact state license required at time of submission.
• At least 1 year of experience in a NICU setting is required.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE.
• Experience in Level II NICU care for neonates (29–34 weeks gestation).
• Ventilator management and CPAP/High Flow management experience.
• Knowledge of umbilical line management (UAC/UVC).

Responsibilities

• Provide care for neonates and stabilize patients before transferring to higher level care if necessary.
• Administer respiratory support as needed and assist with high-risk deliveries.
• Support breastfeeding and manage breast milk handling.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, social services, and pharmacy.
• Engage in patient and family education and support initiatives.
