Job Summary

The purpose of the Storeroom Assistant is to perform daily maintenance, organization, transfer, and transactions of materials in/out of the storeroom. The storeroom assistant will complete activities that insure proper inventory levels for indirect production supplies, consumable materials, maintenance repairs equipment and spare parts. The Storeroom Assistant will also back-up some duties of the Storeroom Coordinator position.

Essential Functions

• Review Daily and maintain proper inventory levels for indirect production supplies, consumable materials, maintenance repairs equipment and spare parts. Conduct daily cycle counts of MRO/spare parts, process inventory replenishment PO’s, maintain 98% inventory accuracy.
• Clean, sanitize, organize and maintain storeroom in compliance with Safety & food safety programs, provide support & complete related action items. Daily maintenance of storeroom. Completion of action items within 10 days.

• Complete inbound & outbound transactions of materials and equipment to include daily receiving of purchased MRO items and verification of material received per packing receipt. Inventory disbursement accounting and reporting. Inventory receipt transactions into Mainsaver per accounting standards.

• Complete month end reports within 2 days of month end. Complete transfers and disbursements per schedule.

• Complete daily material kit builds and transactional issuing of production department supplies and consumables.

• Complete daily spare parts inventory issuing and return transactions.
• Complete daily review of order points for critical inventory items.
• Complete daily management of invoices for problem PO items in Docushare.

• Customer Service to Maintenance and Operations.

• Complete daily management of lubrication and oil supplies, prefill and build production lubrication kits.
• Manage HMIS stick inventory to stock items

• Maintain recycling programs for controlled materials, i.e., bulbs, ballast, oils, batteries, electronics.

• Review open purchase orders for follow up. Contact vendors for updates.
• File closed purchase orders. review open PO file in Mainsaver for verification.

• Occasional duties include special project support for materials research, food safety program administration, maintenance and engineering administration support, and other similar duties as requested.
• Investigate cycle count discrepancies, identify root cause, resolve inventory error, and reestablish inventory accuracy.

Job Qualifications

Required

• Proficient computer skills and use of BPCS, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, Mainsaver, Notes, and other software’s.
• Strong clerical and administrative skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment.
• General product & materials knowledge.
• Strong customer service skills.

Preferred

• High School Diploma desired and 5 years related experience.

Environment

• 40-hour work week. Normal shift: M-F 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Work environment may be hot, cold, dusty, loud, require walking medium distances and climbing stairs.
• Ability to read and transfer data manually and electronically with a high level of accuracy.

Salary: This role is salaried non-exempt $50,250 + depending on prior experience
